Hireable Extension Privacy Policy

What the extension is

The Hireable Chrome extension is a companion to your Hireable account. It lets you save jobs from job boards, see how well your CV matches a listing, autofill application forms with your own details, update your application tracker, and start CV tailoring — all against data you already hold in your Hireable account.

Data the extension accesses

Your account data. When you are signed in, the extension fetches your own profile and CV details (name, email, phone, location, LinkedIn URL, work history highlights) from your Hireable account to show them to you and to fill forms you ask it to fill.

Job listing content. On supported job boards (LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor job pages), the extension reads the listing you are viewing — title, company, location, description — to show the save button and a match score. This content is sent to your own Hireable account only when you act (saving a job, requesting a score, or tailoring a CV).

Form fields. When you open the Autofill tab, the extension reads the field labels of the form on your current page so it can tell you what it can fill. Nothing is filled and nothing leaves your browser until you click Fill.

Sign-in relay. So you do not have to sign in twice, a small script listens for a single sign-in/sign-out message from the Hireable web app on gethireable.com and hireable.com. It does not read anything else on those pages.

What we store on your device

Sign-in tokens (so you stay signed in), your offline save queue (jobs you saved while offline, synced later), and preferences such as your chosen default CV. These live in Chrome extension storage on your device and are removed when you sign out or uninstall.

What we never do

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties. We do not collect your browsing history. We do not show ads. And the extension never submits an application for you — you always press submit yourself.

Data retention and deletion

Data the extension sends to your Hireable account (saved jobs, tracker updates, tailored CVs) is governed by our main Privacy Policy and is deleted when you delete it in the app or delete your account. Uninstalling the extension removes everything it stored on your device.
